Your cat looks suspiciously like a Maine Coon or a Norwegian Forest Cat. Very handsome creature either way, and quite a lot of personality.

He was a parking lot stray kitten, so I'm not sure! But he does see to be very maine coonish!

ahh strays do make the greatest pets ever, and they live for a long time. I myself have a cat I found as a stray who just walked up to us as a kitten with the most adorable purr ever. He's quite independent and social, but it seems his age is finally getting to him, not that he is letting that get to him haha. I love my cat no matter how stubborn and old he gets. hes there for me just as I am for him. Here's to many many good years ahead for you and your amazing feline friend and family member!
