Your fort looks really comfortable, and the pillows are a nice touch! Having the fort right by the television is the way to go!
I am going to sound totally ignorant here, but what is Redvine? Is that product something unique to the West Coast because I have never seen it before.

You know, I have never seen Redvines before! I will have to pay closer attention to the candy area of my grocery store. I see Twizzlers all of the time around here, but I never have seen Redvine. Is Redvine a new product, or has it been around for a while? I know that in some parts of the country there are regional products that do not make it to the other part with the restaurant chains in your area (Jack in the Box, Wienershinzel (sp?), In-and-Out) being great examples. The enxt time I go shopping, then I will let you know if I see Redvine.
if you do look for it you can find it in a giant tub lol for like six bucks or the little pack for like a dollar super yummy I hope you can find it if not I'm just gonna have to mail you a pack haha
wow jack in the box doesn't exist in the east? Thats amazing. Its okay its not that great of food. In and Out is just California and lol I hate in and out bleh don't enjoy going there. Wienershnizel I used to go there when I was smaller get corn dogs and whatnot but I think most of them are maybe gone?
Good luck on your red vine journey!!!

Thanks for the offer for the Redvine, and I will definitely send you something from Illinois if I have to take you up on that.
Yeah, there are a bunch of chains you folks have out West that we do not have here. Also, there are several chains we have here that you do not have over there such as Culver's, Steak 'N Shake, White Castle, and Waffle House. I know with our country being so interconnected it is surprising that there are still regional chains out there.
It has been a couple of years since I have been to California, and you are right that Weinershinztels are not as common as they were before.
Are there any chains that are unique to your State?
I will definitely let you know how the Redvine search comes along!

Dang I've only heard of White Castle and I think thats only because of the Harold and Kumar movie lol
I'm thinking maybe Sonic? You park your car order and people deliver the food on roller skates and they put the tray on your window lol and of course in and out burger yuck lol well I guess In and out isn't in Oregon oh I know one Izzys all you can eat buffet kinda yummy thats all I can think of for now I will think of others though
I hope you do find red vines!! If not I bet you could order some off of Amazon haha

Haha! "Harold and Kumar" was basically like a huge advertisement for White Castle, and I am sure a lot of you folks out west were totally clueless on what was so great about those things! To the best of my knowledge, White Castle does not exist west of the Mississippi River, and that chain grows very slowly because all of their stores are corporate owned and not franchised. As a result, the company has a lot of control over its restaurants unlike a McDonald's or Burger King where standards can vary depending on the franchise owner's commitment to maintain corporate standards. There is no question that there are regional businesses out there that focus on parts of the country as opposed to going national such as some names such as McDonald's.
Yeah, Sonic is the chain about which I was thinking. Sonic just made its way to my State within the last two years, and I think Sonic was originally only out West, right? I am not sure how well Sonic will do out where I am because the heavy snowfall and cold weather would definitely limit the ability to go out on rollerskates during the winter. Also, the Chicago market is a tough one because there are already a lot of private drive-ins that have been around for a long time against which Sonic has to compete. With that being said, Sonic seems pretty interesting though I never have eaten there before. Is the food at Sonic good?
I will take your advice about In-n-Out and avoid it like the plague the next time I am out West.
I was looking up Redvines, and it looks like it is more or less a regional candy with it having its roots out in your part of the country. I guess that is why I had never heard of Redvines over here because it must be a product that is only big out West and probably never had taken root out on my side of the country. Especially with places like Chicago and some of the southern states being major candy centers in their own right I am sure that the local brands/companies prevented Redvine from making its way into certain markets.
Looking through the Redvine website it looks like it is possible to order it online through some vendor affiliated with company. The product looks interesting, and clearly it looks popular based upon the comments here which makes it worth a try.
