Some time ago there was a contest to design flags for various places in the Chakat Universe created by  Goldfur, and my design was chosen for the Stellar Federation. Goldfur did wonder, though, if the four large stars could be replaced with stars the same size as the others, and I've only now gotten around to doing that.

My thought was that the large stars would represent the founding worlds of the Federation and the smaller stars were the daughter colonies, but Goldfur preferred that there should be no hint of hierarchy or status on the flag. Accordingly, the flag has thirteen stars to represent the worlds of the Federation (honestly, it's not an allusion to the founding colonies of the US; combing through the CU stories, there are a total of thirteen worlds identified as part of the Federation). As before, the shield represents protection.

The flag's proportions are 5:2, and it is flown with the shield in the hoist.
