just in case you guys ever wondered how I did my scale work, this is a wip of a detail dragon commission I worked on earlier today. He's got a couple finished scales on his eyebrow and the rest still need shading.
Yes I shade each and every scale. so far I'd say this is roughly 2-3 hours of scale/shading and maybe another hour or so on the original sketch.
you can see me finish it sometime tomorrow when i'm streaming :)
This is also here so I know if the horns are alright for the commissioner. They curve more the the picture properly shows, but let me know what you think.

looks very nice. LOL.. did not get to see the last part of your stream. Reached the garden and quickly realized there was a good bit of goodies needing to be harvested. Got an arm full of pears, some lemon cucumbers, handful of green beans and 40 ears of corn... mmmmmmmm MMMmmmm ohhh and a very nice head of purple cabbage.
I am quite impressed. The more finished section around the eye and the top of the head is wonderful. And I like the direction you are taking with the horns. I can see where it is coming in, and no doubt as the work progresses the shape will become more evident. Plus, I realize they cannot be too curved for the horn clasps to make sense, as well.
By all means, carry on. I continue to look increasingly forward to the finished product.
