This is my gift for Aurora8911 from DeviantArt.
The drawing shows her gryphon Amanda looking happily as the down starts to shine through the morning clouds in the mountains giving new hope for a better day :).
It took me a while to do this but finally it's here - my second colored pencil drawing :D. This time with a background. I'm kinda happy how it came out, especially the mountain grass. Damn, I love this grass it looks so great xD :laa:
But of course I had to choose the wrong paper for it. The Canson I'm currently using is great for pencil drawings but not for colored pencils. It's to rough. I need a smoother paper for those. Because of this I also failed with the background :/. That cloud next to the beak is really unnecessary but it's hard to erase color pencil so I left it :/. And generally sorry for the crappy blur filter on the sky - believe me, it's better this way ^^'
Of course the drawing is enhanced in PS because my scanner eats all the colors :/.

Very pretty. You should do more art. :D
Colored pencil is weird. I used to use Bristol board smooth to get nice smooth coverage but then the tooth is so fine that it fills up fast so you have to be more careful about color selection and over working. I love it but it's hard. XD You have a very beautiful color selection here.
