Max is stuck, way back deep in some secret labs.
Yeah I haven't done much of max in awhile, partially because I really haven't had much to do with him since working on some design tweaks on him. Maybe once I get him finished out I'll do more, until then its "canon" he's hidden away in some laboratory.
