ok this is a REALLY OLD commission that i had somehow forgot about
(AND SHE DIDNT NAG ME THANK GOODNESS I MADE THAT JOURNAL OR I WOULD HAVE NEVER REMEMBERED)
this is the oldest comm i owe, and it was for 30 dollars so i have to complete this first of course.
anyway i have been trying to draw for the last few days but because of school and the pressure to finish the art i owe i guess i couldn't really focus and make anything worth giving you guys? i tried for hours on end but tonight i am staying upa s late as i can to get SOMETHING done. it's 3 AM omg.
so this is just a sketch of one part of your commission, -aestival-, it's a sketchish painted bust (will be shaded and painted like the other busts but in black and white bc i couldn't get proper color refs from the ones you showed me, but i can add in little splashes of colors here and there) bc i suck at normal anatomy. AAAAaaaaand don't worry i will do her pigtails
i just didn't wanna draw more hair if you didn't like what i had so far. i know her dreadlocks are different then the way you drew them in the reference s you showed me but i feel like it'd be nicer if i drew them in varying shades/sizes and lengths so they'd look more natural? and i know in the references they weren't this dark, and i tried about 3 times to draw them lighter but i just couldn't make it look nice? so i will try to lighten them a different way but just in case i can't make it look worthy is this okay?
and i haven't forgotten about her piercings, i just have a few questions since the refs you showed me weren't really colored except for the one.
is her skin pale or purple or?
and her eyes what color should they be?
i think i'll just make this like a little "page" that has multiple pics on it, maybe you could use it as a ref or something idk i'll work it out since you gave me a bit of free range with what to draw (if i remember right)
anyway sorry guys for being so slow but my classes are so heavy and i'm under a bit of stress dealing with that and my living situation. (4 ppl in one smallish apartment so we fight a lot lol) plus pressure to finish all these arts!
