I think I'm starting to reap some of the fruits of my labor. This is the first thing I've done since I've been practicing and I'm liking how it turned out. Tell me what you think?!

Very kewl work with the shades as well. :)
First starting out with inks seems really quite awkward to begin with, but after a while it becomes as easy as using a pencil :D
Do you have Microns?
A little tip I could give would be to make each line with a single stroke rather than run over them again... or else your inked pics could start to look like this XD

When I first started inking, I found myself using an 03 and an 05. But as I progressed I stepped it down to an 01 combined with a Faber-Castell brush pen for fine detail combined with thick, tapered lines.
I suggest getting a brush pen and a full range of microns for when you get farther into inking because the larger pens will start to seem more like markers rather than technicals and you'll want more and more control over your tools, so you may want to consider them if you're going to take on the challenge of becoming an ink artist like MBR. :)

I have a rather large collection of them actually, from 01 to 08, and I have been inking for a while now, I just don't always do it because, you know, I'm lazy and all that... I like the 08 because I can use the edge to make fine lines and the tip to make wider lines.
As for a brush pen... maybe when I actualy have money to spend on art supplies again!
