Really love his look! Those sharp points on the armor give him that menacing look. I also adore that he's evil and not all done up in dark colors.
All in all, totally awesome!

I've seen a lot of characters done up all dark. His old G1 version was pretty much the same. Just gold everywhere. I think in the past his armor was black but eh...just did not sit well with this version of him.

The gold really suites him.
Also, I can't believe people are so stuck on the "there's no male alicorns" thing... This design is great! People really need to learn to appreciate a piece on it's own, not as it pertains to whatever fandom it is associated with. Because I totally adore that armor and mane

Looks amazing, don't listen to the rules lawyers, I think it looks badass personally. I think people forget that others have their own imagination and vision for things, they don't have to mesh up with anyone's rules.

If someone doesn't like it, don't look at it, or draw your own thing within the arbitrary rules you put upon yourself. Words of wisdom I heard once that can apply to this: You don't have to like what I like. and that was on a Pony picture of all things.

According to the "CANON" Police, Lauren Faust said there is no male ones. I don't know, I don't keep up and I really don't care either. It's just something fun to mess with. Apparently people don't like fun. :c

The problem with the "CANON POLICE" is they forget that Lauren Faust isn't on the show anymore, therefore, her ideas and direction no longer really matter to Hasbro. In fact, she was pretty surprised to see Cadence (the pink/purple/yellow alicorn) because that wasn't in her original concept/design as far as the alicorns go, but Hasbro did it anyway.

Not to mention, like someone above said, my little pony has been around for longer than MLP:FiM. There's no telling if, or when Hasbro decides to do something.

But the bottom line is, it doesn't fucking matter because this design is boss and they should feel bad for completely ignoring the artistic design, to bitch about "canon" bullshit.

I didn't know about her not being on the show! Hurrah! I mean, I love her designs...but that does topple some of the ideologies quite a few of them seem to cling to so hard. Didn't know about that deal with Cadence either...so who knows what they make come up with.

And yeah. My biggest gripe is people completely throwing aside the original MLP. I still hope that maybe they'll implement some of the older ones but bleh.

exactly :) and the way I see it, these same people are the ones who create OC's that have powers/abilities not in the show either, but they can be special snowflakes and no one else can XD

yeah, she's now doing some super planet power girl thing and completely off the show. I think she was consulting for season 2, but for season 3 she's not got anything to do with it.

For Cadence, I'm sure Lauren had a "structure" for Alicorns due to the history of Equestria, but Hasbro matched the pony royal wedding with the actual royal wedding with prince william and what's-her-name. Cadence was basically a money maker/marketing maneuver on their part. Which wasn't that bad considering how many people love/bought her toy and the royal wedding stuff.

I don't blame you for ranting. Some of them are so super hardcore they make people not like the fandom because they're just so overbearing about it, when really it is about "lover and tolerance".

(and in retrospect, this makes sense why my pixie ponies haven't gone over too well with the fandom! it all makes so much sense haha!)

Fandoms are quite the mood ruiner for everything these days. I fluctuate around with quite a few but don't want to actually "BE" in them. I just like a show, a game, a whatever for my own reasons. Once upon a time as a young hooligan I acted like some of these people but now seeing it just makes me livid. Understanding is great but a lot of people don't understand the concept and going overboard over something that they have no control over is ridiculous.

Don't even get me started on the Transformers fandom...oh lordly looloo. MLPFIM fandom really did blow up into a giant mess though.

And honestly the way I look at it, the more hardcore someone acts the more it makes them look pretty damn bad to others who just LIKE something. Like if someone was in a crowd, pretty 'ole normal. And was wearing a shirt or something for something they liked. By chance someone who knows what it is sees the mistake and blows up about it. Everyone in crowd looks at that person as opposed to the person who just is doing their own thing.

So much rambling! I think it's all the coffee i've had today...hyuck.

And haha, oh the super ponies. I've seen so so so so SO many on DA...I was SO iffy about posting King because I was just afraid of people getting all HURNUR on him. But whatever. It's just a design. I couldn't get into that fandom. Won't stop me from getting the little toys though... :I

yeah, i am the SAME way haha. I really like legend of korra, CAN'T GET INTO THE FANDOM AT ALL because of how serious they take it. Someone wrote six pages about why everyone should like x-character. I was like, "no, back away slowly so they don't rip your head off..."
