Pearl is a massive Whale Shark mermaid. Despite whale sharks usually being filter-eaters that don't eat people, she has occasionally swallowed a few divers, which may or may not have been accidental, because she tends to have a voracious appetite.

Other than her appetite, she is gentle and will give friends underwater tours through the ocean, and if you're close friends she'll allow you to call her by her nickname, "Star" (Which comes from some cultures referring to a Whale Sharks patterns as Stars.) Just be sure to stay away from her mouth.
