Here's an alternate version of Lollipop Chainsaw in which Nick dies at the start and Juliet is forced to decapitate herself to stop from turning into a zombie. But no worries, since her sisters are there to comfort her...kinda.
In this version, if Juliet gets hit too many times in a row or if she takes a really big hit, there's a chance her head will fly out of the pouch and you have to collect her. You can choose to keep fighting while she lies on the ground, but if a zombie picks her up and holds her for too long, it's instant game over.
The mini games are also replaced by scavenger hunts in which Juliet's head gets launched far away from her body due to an event or scripted attack, and you get to play as one of her sisters, Cordelia or Rosalind, to escort and protect her body to her head.
So yeah, just a random idea I had XD
Feel free to comment ^^

Perhaps, but then you will have concern women and parent screaming that the game ia being too violent against women. That why many self empowering action heroine in game and movies are so indestructable, marketing personel probably don't want to show their female lead hurt in anyway or risk scaring off potential buyer.
Dude. Chainsaw hickey.
Wait. I'm hoping the ritual didn't require any chanting. Can you pre-tape those? Then again, that worked in Evil Dead.
Aaaand now I'm picturing a (dis)assembly line for ritualistically crafting headless cheerleaders. Then we give the heads frizzy 'dos and handles. Pom-pon heads!! :D
