~Manderlin~Although their bodies are hulking and thick, their speed in both mud caked swamps and deep rivers is unmatched. Their bodies are coated in a thick mucus, allowing them to slip through catfish holes and crawdad mounds for food and shelter. Their mouths have a 'gullet' like that of a pelican's beak, allowing them to hold any food or materials in a pouch under their tongues while they travel. The end of their tail is slightly flattened and rounded, acting like a paddle that helps them steer their bodies. Their species is incredibly diverse when it comes to evolution, though their forms typically are evolved according to the climate in which they live in. It has a set of teeth for an omnivorous animal, though its canines retract into pouches on its jaw, like that of a snake. It only uses its canines to act like hooks to crunch into the shell of a crawdad, shuck a freshwater clam, or hook into a fish to prevent its escape. :3
