It has some foam padding on the inside , for the forehead, and it's actually not too heavy! I often forget I'm wearing it. The only thing is if you're wearing it for a long time, and you take it off your eyes need to adjust from not being able to see straight in front of you. XD When I'm wearing it I have to move my head like a bird to see, adds to the creepy I think :)
