Lucy is an artificial lifeform. She was created from the body of a feral canine and the soul of a water elemental. The rogue mage who created her thought his experiment had failed when the young pup showed no signs of being nothing but a normal pup. He released her into the wild where she wandered for years developing an ability to live off the land and sea. She found that she could breath underwater, as well.

As she grew older, so, too, did her intelligence and she can now speak fluently with others. As a sign of maturity her latent elemental side kicked in turning her once floppy ears into translucent water. She also found that her tail and paws has a watery sheen about them, but didn't leave wet marks behind. The elemental's magic allowed the water to glow ever so slightly, too, which made her a very unique sight to behold when she strode into a town.
