This was my first entry into
Luckypan contest for her Squee Art Book to be published at RF.
I didn't make it into the top 4, so I'm now permitted to post my entry here. I was hoping to somehow aquire a book so that I can understand a bit more about them as I work towards full animation with Lily.
Here, Lily is taking a quick rest in her busy activities, such is the life of a common worker Squee. Looks like she found something shiny for herself.

Precisely the sort of work for your portfolio. About the only thing i could comment about would have been a little shader work on the figure. Right now it looks like a painted ceramic figure, except for the eyes. but a little bit of texture work or even a fur shader for the neck ruff would have helped. It looks very good, but it looks like a painted sculpey, or bisque figure places in your window planter, and photographed with a reasonable camera. Though if the ceramic look was what you were after, then play on.

Thank you Scott for your actual feedback and suggestions, it is always highly valued, especially from your experience. I have much to learn still as I continue to focus on overall basics. Fur and Shaders have been a limitation of my use of the Octane Render engine, though I have made use of Sub Surface Scattering on the leaf object.
I will attempt to improve her figure with a bit more fluffy look.

More than welcome. Also if your renderer doesn't have a fur shader, Then you may want to attempt what the Japanese do for games, and do "Hair cards" or hair ribbons" where clumps or tufts are on single face "cards" arraigned in a hair, or fur like arrangements. But your randerer has to be spot on in it's draw order, or you will get errors.
