Now I have 3 heads skeched out in zbrush. I am trying to get a nice 3D style to match my 2D style.

I got to say. These faces have such breadth and variety. It's always this challenge, with artists. You tell them like "draw a bearded man" and they usually have like... one face. But these guys are so different, and really at a fundamental facial structure level. Their hair styles and colors vary too, but you've really got it.
If you did animation, jeez howdy.

I wish I could animate. Too much with to little time. I'd love to see these animated. Thanks for the compliments. My goal is to make these as varied but in the same style as I can. The skin textures are similar because I was lazy with the material. In Zbrush you can control the specular level with picking a color. It was too subtle in these renders but I increased the effect. Basically the little bit redder nose, lips and ears make those areas more shiny. It's a really odd way to control spec but whatever. I'd hue shift the skin's among them a lot more if I really was pushing it. I still might. But that means a separate material for each skin.
Expect more updates of these. I want to start doing these regularly for fun/practice. Lunchtime sketches etc.. At the moment I am doing these based off my own 2D concepts. We will see how I am at doing these with nothing. Just concept in 3d. Wish me luck. I am also starting to build accessories for the characters like glasses, shirts etc.. All Zbrush. Not until I want to take one to the next level. The hair is all very temp. I know how I want to do it better but it will take more time.

Huh, interesting, I look forward to seeing your revisions.
As long as you're having fun with it, I'm sure you'll keep going.
As for the hair. I think number three, with his asymmetrical haircut is quite good. It looks more intentional. More like a drawing and less like a magnetic fluid.

Which is all I can think about when I see number 1. Although he is my favorite.

I agree about the magnetic fluid resembling the hair. The hair is soft because I couldn't get it to be crisp the way I made it. But I know how to do it so that it will be crisp, it will just take 3 times the effort and time. It will be worth it but I wanted to get a few more of these underway before doing it. Flesh out the style some more first.
