Seacatch: Mnn...so warm...hmm? Oh...I thought only I knew this place.
Nevermind...Zzzzzz...zzzz....
Looks like Rushell wasn't the only one who can find nice getaways.
Aww...the afternoon heat seems to be getting to him after his swim...ah,well.NAP TIME.
This came out...much better than expected...with a little digital touch-up.
Is the light flare a liiiiittle too gimmicky or is it alright?
Anyways,hope you guys like it!
I'll post more stuff soon!

That is one very long tail on that otter! I like your otter's anatomy; the long tail, long whiskers and great otter features with the head, and the long paws that must be a great help for swimming.
The contrast between the shadows and light is rather impressive. Especially in the small spots where the light breaks through the leaves. Even the detail of adding the glare rings.
The enviroment reminds me of some very relaxing small lakes that I used to visit as a child. The colors on this is just outstanding, and I like the textured look of the drawing.
Great piece. I hope to see more from you.

Long tails make cuter otters and are good for swimming,so it sort of felt right to me.X3
Thank you very much!I'm happy you like the anatomy so much.
Honestly, this is the first time I've done a tree shadow, where the light and darks are irregular, and it was really challenging. So thank you for the encouraging feedback!
If my picture can stir up nostalgia, then I'm honored. You can definitely expect to see more of me then!;)

Wow, this looks astounding!
I already said I love your anatomy, but it just seems to keep upgrading. In all seriousness: This reminds me a lot of Blotch's artwork, and it's scary how someone could mistake it for one of their pieces.
You've outdone yourself mate, with the lighting (Performance and Idea), the mass details in the foreground and background, the many soothing colors and their proper shades... Be proud mate, you'd done a Masterpiece.

Thanks!!
It's no fun claiming "it's my style"and being content,so constantly trying to upgrade is a given.X)
Really?I'm really glad you think so.Though I still feel Blotch is leagues ahead as an artist(yes,I know, they are a collaborative pair, but it's easier to think of them as one.)
I was honestly quite surprised how well it came out.I did quite a few things that I've never tried before in this picture, and the tree shade was the hardest. So I'm happy you like it!
A MASTERPIECE...for now.;)
Gotta work to make better ones!

Hehe, I think that there would be a little bit, some sparkle on the surface, but I am not sure it would be quite that much.
If the water was still, then there would just be the reflection of whatever is at that angle, if it's ripply, then there would likely be some sparkle, but not so much with the light direction as is. :3
My pleasure ^^ I am usually kind of hesitant to give critique, because a lot of artists REALLY don't like it, but I noticed that you asked for critique on DA, so I though "ah what the hell, I will throw my two pence in, even if I am not exactly qualified on the subject!"

Hmmm...true...though I had figured that after filtering through so many leaves, the brightness would have dimmed considerably to prevent sparkles. The water isn't rippling enough to fragment the light, but sort of make it an irregular shape.
Not sure if that justifies it,but yeah.
Well,I don't think there's an artist alive who enjoys critique, especially if they had put a lot of effort in,but I do know that I am not perfect;let alone my creations.People often can see things you yourself can't see,so if there is anything to learn from the critique,I openly welcome it.

I'd have to find some first!XD
Besides,Cheetahpaws and his mate Furious are already "grown-ups" so to speak, and working. The age gap will probably be a barrier,so it probably would be awkward to meet them. Not to mention their art is mostly eye-candy,so we can't talk about that without it being awkward...XD

You're a grown up x3 Pretty much anyway!! And it's a lot less awkward than you think to talk about porn x3 Plus, you don't HAVE to talk about porn! Just message him and ask if furries in Singapore ever meet up, and if not, would he and his partner like to try to get some of the furs together? ^^
