(The concept of my story: just a rough draft so far )Midnite, the illuminating star god was created by the great gods Gaia and Ouranos in the absence of light.
Gaia who was lonely pulled all the stars together to make Midnite.
When Midnite was young she asked Gaia why the sky was dark at night and Gaia responded that the stars had dimmed at Midnites beauty.
Midnite got into much trouble when she was young and often lost her way.
Gaia, being a merciful mother, gave Midnite a precious stone, the northern star, the last remaining star in the sky.
Midnite treasured the northern star and fashioned it onto a ribbon made of sky so it may float ahead of her and guide her way.
Midnite told her mother that she would make more like it so the whole way would be lighted and so those who are lost might find their way.
Gaia would smile gently at Midnite and say nothing, for Gaia did not beleive her daughter had the stength or power to create such a thing.
Midnite grew quickly with the power of the star to guide her, as she grew she learned many things about the world and everyone in it.
one night Midnite met a small boy who say crying in the woods in the dark. Midnite sat next to the boy and asked him why he was crying. The boy said he was lost and couldnt find his family. Midnite broke a piece of her star off and gave it to the boy.
The boy was happy and gave midnite an estatic hug.
The boy then hurried through the forest to his home. After Midnite broke the piece off the star the star became whole again. The encounter gave Midnite an idea.
Midnite broke pieces off of her star and placed them in a bag and took them into the sky with her where she scattered them.
Every now and then a star would lose its brightness and Midnite would be there to take it and place it back in her bag where she would then grab a new star and place it in the sky.
