This is a piece i did for my Bf Brathor

for his senior project he is creating a pen and paper RPG setting book based off some of his writing.

in this setting the mixing of magic and technology creates a pollution like by-product that takes the form of a sort of mist. this mist dissolves in sunlight but its presence has wild and unnatural effects on the wildlife exposed to it creating dangerous monsters.

the rich can afford to live above the mist but for the peasents down on the ground they need the lantern bearers. an organization who naturally repel the mist and act as escorts through the city at night to protect the people from whatever horrors have been created.
