I don't know if you ever experimented with famitracker, but there's a lot of customization options regarding waveform instruments, and all the soundfonts and other vst's in this genre of music creation don't really allow for any of that user modulation. Becuase it's a vst you can't do piano roll slides with it, but there's all sorts of wonderful stuff sounds you can make with just a few experimental tweaks.

So grab it, if you want. It's freeware and a bucket of awesome.

Thanks for the suggest, I might look more into it. I also have given FamiTracker a couple of tries before but never really took the matter seriously. As of now, I oftenly use 3x Osc, Soundfonts, or even Sytrus when it comes to gathering 8bit samples or instruments.

Upbeat and filled with spirit. It fits perfectly.
