I came across another time traveler in the other day, loved his car. And yeah, sorry for the blurriness, we were both in a hurry, I had to get back to the 70's and he was headed for I think 1892? I forget....

Looks like you can get one from between $31,000 and $55,000. http://delorean.com/for-sale/
Don't make em' like they used to, know what I mean? My uncle just started working on his wife's 1969 pontiac and this thing is a bright red tank about as long as a small boat and it takes up an entire lane when on the road. This engine roars and bubbles like a fucking racing boat, the car is an unstoppable monster!
No, they don't make 'em like that anymore. Which is both good and bad. On one hand these were raw, powerful cars that were super fun to drive. But on the other, they ate gas like a fat kid in a candy store and most modern cars can handle a lot better.
But between you and me, I'd take a classic muscle car over a new one any day. They just have a feel to them that's almost impossible to reproduce.

BTW, I hear DeLorean is still in business and planning on a new version of the DMC-12. The DMC-EV will have an all-electric drive train and will be able to exceed 88mph. http://delorean.com/2011/10/electric-delorean/
"Drive train" in a road vehicle, (car, truck, etc), refers to the engine and everything that connects it to the wheels; transmission, drive shaft, differential, etc. In an electric vehicle, the "drive train" has an electric motor instead of a gas or diesel engine and usually does not include a transmission; the batteries are treated as the fuel system. (Hybrids are another matter.)
