The first person to step forward, eager to summon their own familiar, was Ghost. He began the spell as the circle lit up with a red glow and a form materialized in the middle of the circle. The circle's light faded away but a red glow stayed around the new form; a nightmare with fiery hair, glowing eyes, sharp teeth, long serpentine tongue, and hooves that left smoldering prints as it walked.

Tailswisher was proud that the first student could summon such a nice familiar. This made hir eager to see just what all the rest of the students would bring forth.
