My biggest complaint is how horribly inaccurately they portrayed "The Fall." Theoretically, such a thing could be possible, if we found a way to shield ourselves from the incredible heat and pressure at the core. What would actually happen is, the moment the anchors let go at one end, everyone on board would be in free-fall (weightless, zero gravity) for the entire trip, until the anchors at the other end grab onto the pod again.

Not that the original had much more accurate science either... You can walk around on the surface of Mars without protection. The only issue is the lack of oxygen there, something that would require more than just melting some ice to fix. :P


Also, no midget stripper! D: The original had a midget stripper, and the lack thereof in the new movie was an even bigger letdown than the poor science. :(
