Ahh yes...the ever classic "Damsel in Distress" scenario. It is indeed a cliche as old as story telling itself, for years it has served as a plot device to drive many a story, but...just what is it about the classic "Damsel in Distress" concept that makes it so endearing? What is it about this scenario that makes it a timeless tool that never seems to go out of style? A helpless, and often times beautiful woman is captured by some throw away villain, and it's up to the daring, dashing young hero to venture forth, and confront the dastardly do bad, and maybe even his minions to boot as well, possibly ending up with the helpless, yet beautiful gal after he saves her. After a bit of thinking about it I came up with quite a few possible answers...for one, we see a woman captured against her will, and we just naturally want to see her freed in any way possible. Of course for us guys it might just be a bit more to it than just that. Perhaps we see this, and like to sometimes envision ourselves as that brave, and handsome hero being a total badass, beating up the bad guys, and all the while looking VERY good. Then ultimately rescuing that really hot girl on the screen who just might be willing to offer up herself as a prize of sorts to us as a reward for our heroic deed, or maybe.....just maybe, we might like to envision ourselves as the VILLAIN. Having just captured said damsel, and taken her to an isolated secret lair where no one can hear her screams for help. A defenseless, and HIGHLY attractive woman bound against her will, and you have the opportunity to have your way with her in any way you please.....well okay THAT one just might be going a bit too far, but it is nice to really sit down, and think about the things you like, and WHY you like them so much. Speaking of thinking about things, you are probably right now asking how is it possible that this short, scrawny unnamed character managed to capture a gal as big, healthy, and supposedly strong as Yurika. Well, who knows....but what I do know is that as long as story telling exists, the "Damsel in Distress" scenario will most likely never fade.
So, now that THAT's out of the way.....who here will be the one to rescue Yurika?....
