I've got plans for this later, but for now, here. : )
[Edit] There was NO SPRITE EDITING done here. I stole the palette swabs from the Sonic 2 logo and then did everything else manually.

Heh, I've believe it. While the styles are similar, there are enough differences where I have no doubt it's 100% original. (Her head is shaped a little differently than normal Tails', the fur of her tails aren't "smooth", the shape of her muzzle, etc.)
Though I suck at art, sprite editing is about all I can do... ^_^;;

Heh, it can be difficult at times, but fun. I work best with precision, which the small size and low resolution of sprites helps enforce. With a normal drawing, a line can be slightly off, but impossible to fix. With a pixel, I can more easily tell where they're supposed to go... ^_^;;
Of course, it doesn't help that my hands aren't the steadiest around, and anything I take a pencil to comes out looking like seizuring stick figures... But I have my strengths, and I'm happy with them. Art isn't one, and I accept that. ^_^
...And on a side note, how do you have one icon on your post and a different icon on your comment? I want to comprete the mission, too! So I can stand tall, and shout, "Victoly!" A winner is me!
