My mother used to sing me a lullaby as a child, Dan Fogelberg's Run for the Roses
Mom asked me "What would a tattoo representing you and I look like?" and I had told her "I don't know, probably something horse related, maybe with celtic knotwork or something." But then I really got to thinking about it, and realized there was only one design that would actually make sense for myself and my mother. A mare and foal running together, with a backdrop of roses so red.
