Thursday Prompt - Breaking The Rules - IRIDESCENCE SIDE STOR
Another thursday prompt, since I have been needing the practice and working on my stories needs some more thought before I continue, but for now, enjoy this short piece.
In the library of the Tower, Isabelle Sheridan, an ice user, attempts to persuade Lauren to break the rules. The studious and responsible zebra attempts to avoid her advances only to come face first with Holly, a teleportation specialist. What happens next?

Hehehehe 'Goody two-hooves.' Clever!
After reading, it makes me wonder if Lauren really has been breaking the rules, but only in secret, keeping her transgressions from the others until she was finally confronted. The ease with which she finally came out and thew it in their faces seemed almost practiced.
It's cool, though, to get a glimpse into Lauren's younger, more formative years.

It was either going to be clever or cheesy, I wasn't sure where it'd fall since it was a spur of the moment inspiration. :)
I kind of imagine Lauren to be mostly studious and obeying the rules, but full of surprises for those that assume that's all she is. She's not the type to pull pranks on anyone or start a fight, but she pushes back if prompted.
Since my plans to attempt to formalize this and some of my other stories, I've made more of an effort to focus on what at least from now on, no matter which way it goes, will be their canon storylines. Version one of this universe was rather different, and before that Lauren was in a Firefly kind of story, but even though I liked it I preferred her in this setting better.
I'd always pictured her with water powers, but the more I ran with this mythology, the more it just fits her. :)

Love this! Went reading because I LOVE characters with backstories and can't believe I haven't read Lauren's yet. :3 I'll be going through some of your works to help with inspiration on the piece I'm drawing, and let you know what I think!
By the way, read in the earlier comments here that you're re-doing Lauren's story. :0 Which stories of her are canon now, just so I can keep that in mind? :P
