This is my character "Chief", at the time a United States Life Saving Service Surfman from station Cape Dissappointment, Washington.
This is one image from the rescue where he earned his Coast Guard and Gold Life Saving medal.
He does save the little girl, and five others as boat captain. It continuously haunts him that he could've save the other three.
You'll see him again, have no doubt!
