My pony OC Midnight Eclipse got an overhaul as you can see. For one he is no longer an alicorn. I learned the hardway that a majority of the brony fandom do not take kindly to alicorn OC's because they assume the OC is meant to be as powerful as Celestia or Luna (tho I never implied Midnight was over powered in any way)

Secondly (and most obvious) he's an anthro now. I had a hard time getting the face/maw to look right. To be honest something about it still bothers me but I can't figure out what it is.

Third, as you can probably tell by his armor, he now serves as a knight in Princess Luna's royal guard. He strives to prove himself as the most skilled warrior in her employ, hoping to one day realise his dream of becoming her personal bodyguard.

Looking for a critique here on the colors as far as shade and light. I used 3 layers, one base, one multiply for shade, and luminoscity for lighting. I used the airbrush to do the shade and light. I didn't use any refs for the shade/light so tell me if it looks right.
