This is a seal, not an otter.

I put my best into all the artowrk that I put out, also, I have bills, so I do need the money I make. I have pets that need food and care that they otherwise would not get without income from artwork.

If you're good at something, never do it for free.

Good for you, but some people need to make a living.

Would it be wonderful if the world didn't have money and we could all live on Earth's resources for free? Sure.

But that's not how the world works. It's not greed, it's how people live. Want to starve to death? Have no home? Then don't partake in the economy and don't make money then.

Unfortunately, bills require money to be paid. If they're not paid, I go to jail.. I'd rather not go to jail.
If I could do this for free, and still be able to provide health care and food for myself, my family, and my pup, i'd be more than happy to do this sort of thing for free.... However, in today's society it isn't possible.

Well as much as I agree with the 'human overpopulation' statement there, I'm talking about an actual dog... A pup.. A black lab who needs to be fed and has medical issues that need to be addressed. A dog who- without proper care would not have survived.

My final statement on this matter is, that if you want to do free art for people, so be it.. Personally I've got to much to worry about financially to be able to do that on a regular basis.

If you don't like what I do, stop watching me and stop commenting on my artwork, its pretty simple.

Believe me I know what its like not to have enough to survive.. That's why I do what I do, and sometimes we still have to go to the food pantry to get enough to eat for the month. Recently I've been pretty lucky, which will afford me a trip to see a friend in early december. First REAL vacation i've had in years.

I know a lot of people who do free art now and again, and I've been known to do it for friends and family myself. I'd even thought about doing a christmas free raffle for a badge or something here on FA if I've got the time.

I don't know much about social behaviors, but I'm pretty sure that fussing over something won't make the situation any better, and won't make people want to give you something for free either.... That only works for puppies and kittens. ;)
