I don't think he'll get fat; from what I can see, the foods listed were eaten over the course of Eurofurence, not all-in-one-go.
And the chair isn't on fire. His wallet is. Because hotel food is expensive.

sometimes its just convenient to eat in the hotel, kinda might be one of those things where you wake up late and kinda have to eat, missed the free breakfast and whatnot >3>

True, hotel food was expensive... but keep in mind that they toned it down quite a bit from the first year EF was at the Maritim! 9 Euro for a Maritim burger that could easily feed two people isn't that much - also 2.50 for a sausage with bread is in the green range IMHO
The real expensive stuff is tap water for anything but zero Euro.

At the hotel you lost a lot of money for food (and drinks).
