I still make up monsters for D&D (Mostly 1E AD&D. I dabbled with making a monster for 3.5E but doing all the bookkeeping that comes with the skills and what not just gave me a headache.). Mostly things from the outer planes. Like a shape-shifting, blood-spewing cat-demon. Or monsters based around tropes.
