Beer & Chocolate cupcakes:
Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk
2-4 tablespoons of dark beer (I used Waterloo Dark)
Frosting:
250gr unsalted butter
3 cups icing sugar
1 tablespoon of beer.
For salted caarmel I used:
1 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of water
90 grams of unsalted butter
1/4 of half & half cream
1 teaspoon of salt flakes (sea salt ones are the best)
Heat sugar until golden brown smells kinda nutty, take off of heat & stir in the butter once that's melted stir in the cream, bring back to the heat (lower setting) & stir until thickened, then stir in the salt.
