This picture was from yesterday, 9-12-2012
She's been on her medication for 7 straight days, twice a day. The fur on her tail has started to grow back, and her skin is no longer dry, it finally looks like actual skin. There has very obviously been a change in her disposition since then. She smiles more, wags her tail more, and absolutely loves to play! She's still really weak, so playing is kept at a big minimum. She has almost no muscle mass to her. She's finally starting to gain weight, and Reign and I have started to take her for walks around the block to help her muscles recover and bounce back. We don't push her, of course. It started two days ago, walking to the corner of the street and back. We walked around the entire block yesterday. After a bit of walking and examining her closely as she walks, I think she's got a hint of hip dysplasia. I had to reschedule the bulk of her appointment with the vet, so we won't know until saturday when xrays are done. (Her original appointment was on tuesday, but with my electric getting turned off on monday, I had to set up something with the electric company and it ate up my extra money after her bloodwork. All of the donation money for Sugar has stayed tucked away for her though, it wasn't enough for everything she needs though.)
She still needs her xrays, and talking with the vet, she'll still need more medication.
Keep your eyes peeled, I'm going to be doing a tailwag icon donation stream today to raise money for her vet bills!
If you'd like to donate without art in return, my paypal is riahchurampage@hotmail.com.
Thank you guys so much for all of your support and help with this darling little girl! We both very much appreciate it!
