Chakat Windsong, aboard the Prometheus, finding hirself missing her loved ones. She gets teary eyed holding a small figurine of hir companion, Shadowcrest. The photo on the wall behind hir is of hir parents - Fireglow and Silverpelt.
This is an illustration for a story that is still in the works, so its not yet available to read, but once it is I will update this to point to the story. (I don't have a time estimate on that)

This is going to be very interesting.
This time i see the picture before i read the story, i wonder if the picture will influence how i "see" the story in the theatre of my mind?
I wonder if the sense or feeling that i get from the picture will be different then the sens and feeling i get from reading the story?
I cant wait for it!
Great picture by the way, it has a lot of emotion behind it and i would love to know the events behind it that make you make the picture like this.
No, don't tell me, i would rather find out on my own!
*hugs*

I've thought of doing the same... The biggest problems with building figurines, though, are their fragility (in shipping, especially), and their size. I've got stacks of drawings, which take up relatively little space in comparison to what it would be like if I were a sculptor ^.^
Bravo! - This is your best picture of Windsong to date, and I think shi has been your best-realized chakat. Shi is very appealing, and your depiction of hir emotion is amazing.
I didn’t comment earlier because I don’t like to chime in on the praise when everyone else has said it first and better, but I recently criticized another of your works without offering anything constructive, and felt a little karmic balancing was in order.
