Waffles' full ref, which has been in the works for months now. Finished it recently during one of my classes, making full use of my school's tablets instead if my own.
Her original concept was a little too complicated to reproduce so I simplified it.
Important things not included in the ref:
- She has a scar on her tummy from when she was spayed, but it's unimportant and can be ignored if desired. Also missing the tip of her left ear (a practice used by vets to identify stray cats that have already been spayed/neutered).
- Though she was originally a stray, as the collar clearly indicates, she's a housecat now. Spends most of her time outside and wandering though.
- Likes to sleep on top of cars, particularly after they'd recently been running. Nice warm hood makes for great nappins.
- All aspects of her design except for her tail are asymmetrical. Tis just what happens when you're a torti kitty.
- All of her pawpads are that weird skin tone orangey beige pinky color, except for one on one of her paws. Do be mindful of that.
- I think I mentioned this before but she's supposed to be an oriental shorthaired cat. Not a very good drawing of the breed, this ref, but it was more about her markings from the get-go so... whatevs. Just think skinny, leggy cat with oval head and huge ridiculous ears.
- Unlike Loaf, all of her canine teeth are intact and tend to poke out when she smiles or grins. She uses them quite liberally and loves to hunt small animals.
- Also has a very shameless love for dogs that is not always reciprocated. If you draw her cuddlin' with my dog Jaeger, you win the internets. (He, ironically enough, absolutely adores cats)
And then of course, there is Moggy http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8290618/
token best kitty friend forevers. In my mind, Moggy lives in another town a ways away from wherever Waffles is, and it takes a lot of effort on their part to get together. But they do it anyway. They will often catch rides on or in moving trucks or tractor trailers to cover the distance more easily. Waffles is terrified of most moving vehicles (she's okay when they're parked/off/still, but once they start up, she's out of there), particularly when trapped inside of them, but she braves her fears without hesitation for the sake of her boobins.
