Wow... This is really good! I'm interested in seeing where this idea goes, because it has promise! Especially if you bring in protagonists from the other two PMD games!

although I've never really played the other Mystery dungeons so that might be a little difficult... but i have been meaning to get a new one soon, could you recommend one?

I would suggest getting either Explorers of Time or Explorers of Darkness. It's an independent storyline and it truly is the best story in Nintendo's Pokèmon universe so far. The first set of PMD games is good, but it just doesn't have a good story and feels more like a "growing up" sim than a "saving the world" sim. The new ones really are better. Get them. You will not regret it.

also whilst we're on the subject... is sky a combo of darkness and time but with more content? I've always been confused.

Oh yes! I actually forgot about sky. -_-' Get Explorers of Sky if you don't have either of the other two. It's the same game with more stuff. The only reason I wouldn't recommend it was if you DID have one of the other two, in which case you'd spend ten hours replaying the game to see the extra content. But for someone new, get Sky to start with. It'll save you the time and give you the same level of fun!

Yeah. I'm not so lucky; I bought Explorers of Darkness and had just beaten it when Sky released. Needless to say, I did not feel like replaying it, so I just watched a run on YouTube and called it a day.

fair enough, I bought time now though, couldnt find sky anywhere, besides i got time free with a gift card i found in a draw that had £20 on it =]

Oh well. I can understand that. If you get really far in beige you find a copy of sky, just forget about it and watch the walkthroughs on YouTube for the extra stuff. It'll save you a few hours of backtracking.
