Yay, finally another submission!
This sketch shows the basics of how I want the game to work. Since I am weak in drawing and animations require many frames (and since I like retro :o] ), artwork will be pixel art. The character consists of single limb pictures and will be put together at the joints which are indicated by the coloured pixels (These pixels will be painted over and not be shown in the game). This allows us to create more sophisticated and easily extendable animations later. Characters should be able to change facial expression and to hug each other :o]. Chat text will appear at the bottom of the screen, but also in speech bubbles over the respective characters. The code for drawing the composed character already works.
Hmm, perhaps I should increase the overall size, seems to be difficult to draw different faces with a resolution that low...
