Alrighty, actually this was supposed to be a matte painting instead, however i came to the realization yesterday that the matte painting i was working on just didn't quite worked. Which is sort of late, considering that it was done 85% or so...i really don't like those big cases of routine-blindness. Maybe i'll get some sort of enlightenment sometime to safe the picture.
Anyway, instead of wailing in that misery i thought that i had to put out something new, my schedule is streched enough already, and so i started this painting today. What started as a sort of homanoid cyborg ended as a mix out of a spider, a turian and a predator.
I also once again dove into a rougher style of painting, i feel like my usual, more refined approach is to slow for my purposes. On top of that i really like the style of artists like Craig Mullins, with seemingly random strokes and so on. I just don't quite know yet how to approach it.

Hmm... I had to look up his stuff because I was not familiar with the name, but I can see what you are trying to achieve.
- You need more practice. Draw from life (as boring as it sounds) and you will learn a lot. Look up contour and negative space drawings and that should help you get started. Draw traditionally, not only digitally!
- His brush strokes are not random. He only paints what is needed to give the paintings depth and colour... once again, practice.
- Work on your form first before moving onto colour. Values and form really go together and you'll learn those pretty much at the same time. When you start getting into colour more, you will notice certain colours are lighter tan others. Red, yellows, and greens are much lighter than blues and purples' colour theory, blah blah... (worry about all that later!).
Buy a sketchbook and draw in it EVERY DAY! That is one of the most important things when it comes to drawing either be it realism or extremely stylized. Draw! Draw! And... Draw!!!

First of all, thanks for taking the time and putting the advice together, i really appreciate it! I'll take away what i can from it, and while not everything of it is new to me, it certainly is a much needed reminder for some of it.
I'll keep it in mind and try to intensify my studies in those mentioned areas.
Once again thank you very much and have a nice day :)

No matter what level you are at, you will always need to be reminded of the basic fundamentals of art. It is what you do when you feel you are getting too good - you back back to the basics, so you do not lose what you learned.
It is a good cycle to get into from day one.
Study > Learn > Excel, then repeat...
And no problem! I would like to see more people take advice rather than set it aside. This art website recycles a regurgitated style, so people just assume that making those mistake are "alright". Granted, we all need to make mistakes to learn. Art stimulates our brains in ways that we cannot even imagine, so it should be a learning process - even the best of the best are still learning... even your favorite artist. (:
