And to finish celebrating the man's day, we have a scene from within the "time skip", taking place between Gold Digger issues #100 and #101. Those who know of Mav may recognize him as a retired Balance Counselor, but before he hung up his Balance Ring for good and settle for the much quieter and peaceful profession of being Princess D'Bra's personal man-servant he'd had one last patient he'd worked on.

Admittedly, she was a tough nut to crack, what with all her outward hostility towards others and her situation, but he was a patient werecat and gave the Kryn all the time she needed to vent...

Needless to say, it didn't take too long for the Balance Counselor to realize what the woman needed. All he needed to figure out was how to delicately explain such to her.

I even thought of a idea on it all. like he was the bestfriend long ago in the past to Lydia's mother, and her mother got the old wizard to save him and let him studied under him.
he learn magic and so on, but he had keep a control collar on so he not turn the magic on him.
but at the time when she turn him into a wererat, both bound as master and slave to each other.
he went off and learn more and more. and he made a promise to keep Lydia safe. and he plan the other 2 girls to help with that XD that my idea but it never gonna happen but I am enjoying the GD comics

Oh, she should have gone to him the moment she heard he was going to marry Brittany - or the moment she found out about their relationship - and told him how she felt. That's on her. All the same, he should have thought of that himself. She was betrothed to him. Her hymen was his, in other words. To find out after, ooh, 20 years? Let's say 5 after the onset of puberty, that it wasn't gonna happen, warrants some empathy.
But it wasn't nice to take it out on Brit'. But that sort of projecting is not so strange: it would be much less offensive to assume he was seduced by a shameless harlot (not a million miles from the truth... how long did it take her to jump his bones?) than that her prince had no thoughts for her.

It's okay. And you forgot one aspect of Tanya's loyalty to Stryyp. When the Atlantian Gyyphon was taking El Dorado over, Tanya had one chance to teleport someone out of range of the spell he was casting... but she only had the energy for one. She could've saved herself, but she chose to save Stryyp. So yes, she was literally willing to damn herself to slavery if he could be free...
