Reticulitermes flavipes.
Eastern Subterranean Termite.
I found a colony in a tree stump after I peeled off some sections of bark.
This is a worker and quite a few nymphs. There are countless more that cannot be seen in the stump.
I screwed up almost all of my shots since the flash washed them out (duh :P).
But, I was able to make this shot look presentable I think.

Thanks :D
This was shot with the Canon 100mm Macro (EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM), which I absolutely love. I don't have much of a need to use anything else with the kind of things I like to photograph.

For the longest time, I got by with a Panasonic DMC-FZ7 with a Raynox DCR-250 add-on lens. In fact, much of my gallery was using that camera and lens.
It was only recently I got the DSLR and true macro lens (starting with the Mantis picture). Not looking back from here. :)
A real macro lens for a DSLR is a very good investment. Especially if Macro is your thing. You can get by with close-up rings, but it really does make a difference.
