That pretty much sums it up I wake up in the middle on my sleep cycle to see this… I guess some guys in the ghetto were giving these pup away. He’s skinny and infested with worms and fleas. We’ll see if I can get him to a good state in time for RF.

looks like my dog Toby. Also in the same state. 2 years ago some one threw him and his sister ina river I pulled them out. they where covered in fleas and ticks and dieing from parasites adisease. Luckily we saved them. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6584300/ he looks like this now. Take good care of the little guy he should bounce back.
yeah he's got worms bad then. That's why his belly is huge they give them a pot belly from it. a cheap de-wormer from like walmart or a pet store should take care of his belly and let him start getting fat back on his muscles. also don't forget a flea bath. his furs all ruff from being anemic so I'm sure it's affecting the rest of him if it's showing like that.
I'm super sorry if I sound like a know it all, I hate when I do. I'm just trying to help (and save you some money from the vet) and I've worked with animals... forever actually...

I have some strongid left over from the vet. I asked her if it was alright when I took him for his first round of shots today. I've worked with all kinds of animals from house to farm to wild (rehab center not going out and messing with them) since I was small. I don't have a formal education on it, so it's nice to compare notes with people, you find out new tid-bits that way.
The fleas for the most part have been taken care of but he has a pretty good case of dandruff I don't want to upset his system by adding egg or fish oil to his food right now (have also used an aloe oatmeal shampoo). any suggestions?

sounds like you got it covered. Yeah I work with wild animals mostly birds (falconer) only "formal" education I have with animals is working at vets offices. *thumbs up* you should a post of picture of this little guy when he's looking better. He's got my heart breaking looking at this picture of him. I just want to kiss his sweet little nose. Keep up the good work with him
I'll be posting another picture when we name him. Birds have never really liked me, but I did develop a bit of a bond with a western screech owl named lefty (he'd been hit by a car and lost an eye). I mainly worked with the baby deer and elk people assumed had been abandoned (after taking care of them for so long I can see why mommy wanted a few minutes alone).
