I doubt I will make it to that venerable age myself because I'm going out so often and for sometime long period of times, interacting a lot with people and walking a few miles on dirt, grass, stairs... It does accelerate the aging process of a suit. At least, I have extra fabric for a complete clone when it will be required! Keep having, it's so great to see people who stays young in their hearth!
Oh, yes. I added a lot of miles to my first suit, back in the day. That was was simply 'Reindeer', hince the reason for my Fur Handle. He's pretty much retired from all the use. Perhaps, that's one of the reasons Comet has lasted so long. I had the chance to work out those excited early days. Then, there's the fact that Comet is so blind, I can only stand 20 minutes or so at a con. While I don't usually suffer from it, the tiny amount of viewing zones will start to build a feeling of claustrophobia. It makes interacting a harsh task. Yet, deer are suppose to be cautious in nature. And, it shows. Because, at Comet's construction, I felt realism was a better look over the far more popular toony. Problem was, realistic eyes were on the side. I can handle the tiny peep holes. But, only for a small amount of time. If there's ever going to be a Comet 2, it'll be toony. Or, it'll be where most suiters have never gone; robotic.
Thank you. But, Comet's had a great many years and a few cons under his belt. As of this date, I have very little planned towards ever making a newer suit. If anything, my Furry days are fading away. Not so much by choice, but by life's little events. (Work's endless demands/big oil's greed/home life in chaos. Stuff like that.)
