It was a few months into the New World of the digit-poke republic and I was yucking it up with all my new friends out on Tia and Brie’s courtyard. A-9 the arcanine as we call her, shot up and shouted, “This is Great!! You guys are like, the richest people I know. While Tia, Brie and A-9 were talking and drinking and having a blast, I noticed Absol and I were the only ones sitting quietly sober. I looked at her, just playing with her pink fur. I was always taken back by how shiny she really was, but she looked saddened tonight. I leaned closer and asked, “Hey Absol, you look kinda down, something bugging you?” she looked like she was about to sob, but she got out, “My birthday is tomorrow, but it’s going to be as terrible as usual.” Absol, until we all met, was shunned greatly by her parents, mostly because they are regular absols and she’s shiny. Plus, A-9 was her only real friend, and she became friends with the Renamon twins Tia and Brie because A-9 knew them already.
