Just out of curiosity, do you draw the headfur before the ears, or do you draw the ears before the headfur? I ask because I feel like I always seem to struggle with getting the headfur and ears to look right.

the secret good sir is drawing through in the sketch phase. ...go here-> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8938421/ you'll notice that all the lines are drawn as if this was a wire frame and you can see guides through the character.... once you get a solid structure drawing down... building on that is EASY :P

So just draw the ears on top of the hair, then erase whichever lines aren't going to be visible in the final product? *Facepaw* That makes perfect sense! I can't believe that it never occurred to me! Thanks for the help, man!

well i don't really ERASE said lines... I create a new layer and ink over it
just like inking a sketch on paper. you only draw in the lines you need :)

So if using an actual piece of paper, I would simply go over the final lines with darker pencil marks and/or a sharpie?
