Alan Bryant (born Wilson; he dropped his last name to avoid offending his mother) was a member of the comedy troupe The Four Fools, a popular act in Seathl back in the mid-Thirties to 1940. The act consisted of a variety of jokes of varying degrees of coarseness, along with song, dance, physical violence and flatulence. As a result, their radio show was usually aired at 10:30 PM, after children had gone to bed.
Alan, a badger, was the 'ladies' man' of the group, and usually depicted as being smarter and more levelheaded than his fellows.
