Several weeks ago I was tempted to try something different and decided to try out making a fursuit head for fun, and to see just what I could do.
I used a balaclava and moulded the foam base around it, I used the method of surrouding it with tape and using that to get the correct measurements and shapes for sewing the fur together.

It was a LOT of work and to be honest there were a few things which I could have probably done better, especially when it came to trimming the fur around the muzzle, but it was also a lot of fun pushing myself to learn new things and how to do each stage of making this.
The finished head seems a bit big on my body but could probably be fixed with a bit more work.

You probably won't see me wearing this around any conventions or anything like that, mainly because I have commissioned a suit from professional maker, so when that's ready I'll be using theirs instead. :P
