You know, one of things I really like about your art is you think everything out to the 8th degree; you know where something came from, how it was developed, and why it is the way it is. It makes every feel so much more real.

They'd also make good offensive and defensive weapons. You can wage war or defend from attacks. An atlatl and proper stirrups would give you great accuracy and power if your target has something that might injure your bird at close range.

So how do these guys deal with the air pressure? Or are they really adapted for it, sort of like Quechua people?

They're adapted for life at the higher altitudes much the same way sherpa's in Nepal are for the Himilayas. Evolution has ruthlessly weeded out those who can't handle the cold and rapid changes in altitude, and living on meager rations which is no small feat for such a tiny person who must constantly stay warm! Also remember that this is a culture where living to 45 is a major feat and you were one of the tribal elders then!
