Grace, the sulfer crested cockatoo, and Baby, the quaker parrot.
I've had Grace ever since I was 11. She goes everywhere with me.
I decided this past winter to add another bird to my flock, so I picked up Baby from a women who couldnt care for him anymore. A free bird at that. He grew his chest feathers back, but now he sports a long scar on his beak from a fight he had with Grace in the car... hes so stubborn 8|
Baby lights up my world with his antics and talking.
I took a video of the both of them today

So precious! Im a bird lover myself :)
I used to have a Blue and Gold macaw. He was my baby boy...
He couldnt come with me when I moved from florida :( I miss him every single day...but someday soon I will get another bird...a smaller one...so if I ever have to move again, he or she can come with me.

Daww, I think I remember you saying that ;___;
I've been training the new green one to be comfortable with trips. The cockatoo has gone camping loads of times so shes pretty chill in the car.
Its too bad you had to give him up. I could never imagine doing that with either of these two, even the new one. Hes finally bonded with me although his pubescent behavoir makes him seem a little bipolar xD

So cute :D A friend of my bf's family (like his aunt's friend or something) has an african gray parrot and he melts my heart whenever I see him xD If I'm sitting at the table and they're letting him roam on the tabletop he'll come over to me wanting me to pick him up. His name was Pepper :D
I can't remember the exact number but I know it was in the teens... maybe somewhere between 10-15 I think.
They had adopted him several years ago and he LOVES to make the beeping noise that you would hear a microwave make if its been sitting too long after it's stopped xD

After our recent loss of Kitcat, I've been thinking about getting a pet that I can definitely take care of inside.... and because bf's dad is scared of snakes and hates other reptiles, and bf doesn't really like any rodents, kind of stuck with the possibility of a bird xD at least with birds its easier clean up and they have long lifespans! And a lot of them talk xD I didn't know that the keets can talk until recently...
They're so lovely! I have a little pearl grey 'tiel. She's so very cute, though as a female she can be quite quiet.
On a silly, unrelated note I had League of Legends up and the title screen was playing this sweeping, almost epic, music that made me think you had dubbed it in while Baby was chasing the camera. XD

omg I know Px
He even "mutters" under his breath if you listen carefully. He feeds off your reaction when he bites you so if you do yell 'OW' he will mimick back because his previous owner had a small child that got bit very often. I think thats why they got rid of him x__x
He will mutter "no stop it" "no baby" "no biteing" in a creepy whispery angry voice xD

haha, yeah
its what i call her "victory" stance, she does it when shes excited.
both birds have clipped wings, i just did hers a lot shorter the other day which was good because she slipped during one of her goofy displays and fell down 3 stories... happend against right after i took all these pictures. My cat Jojo launched herself very quickly onto the railing and surprised Grace enough to spook her and I think she was kinda disoriented from me helping her preen feathers, she lurched off the railing and fell again Px
Its good I just clipped them shorter or she would have actually gone somewhere.. I'd rather the birds fall straight down then to fly off and never return ;;

Baby was in a lot worse shape when I got him.. I dont think his previous owner ever gave him baths because he stunk pretty bad ;C I think he may have tried to bathe in his water bowl because it def smelled like he did...
Grace just folds up into my arms in the shower when we bathe together px gets sopping wet but at least it gets those feathers clean

I'd check the state laws ><
Quakers are illegal in a lot of states because they are an evasive species if they escape.
They are also kinda cage defensive. It might look funny that he tries to bite like that, but if strangers try to approach the cage, put their hand in the cage to get him to step up, or just approach him in general, he will give a pretty good bite. It was awful when I first got him, but hes settled down now and mostly bonded with me, but he can be bipolar with my roommate.. Even I cant just stick my hand in the cage to ask him to step up, I have to wait for him to be comfortable and at the bottom of his cage to ask him to come ><

Chester can be a bit bipolar too. I've noticed that he prefers females over males, for one thing. He can also go from being fine on someone's finger, to suddenly annoyed, then back to being fine. I did read up on Quaker's and saw that they're cage aggressive. And there are mixed comments about whether or not they're illegal in NJ. One site says they are, another says you have to abide by some rigorous inspection/permit thing?? Idk, maybe they're in the process of changing the laws.
I would so NOT trust my bird on that window ledge XD I own a Yellow Cheek Green Sided Conure and his name is Sinbad (aka: Sinny). I my lil' birdy too. He "sings" and dances to the radio all day and it makes me smile. When I say "sing" he doesn't talk, but he makes weird lil bird-babbling sounds. Must be cool to have a birdy that actually talks back ^^
