I feel a raptor such as in the drawing would not have the correct center of balance and the legs don't seem right to me but I am just picky I guess!

Ahh...I sees.
That's not anatomical, that's just physical x3
Cause the tail cancels out the forwards shift in CG anyways, that's why it's so thick
